Mary retired at the end of 2013, after a 35 year career in marketing and communications in the consumer package goods industry. Twenty four of those years were spent at Nestlé Purina PetCare in marketing, the last 7 of which she was the Director of Consumer Communications. Under her leadership, her passion for promoting responsible pet care was reflected in the many new initiatives she brought to life, including the My Puppy/ My Kitten program, PawsWay and the Chair in Communications in Pet Abandonment at the University of Guelph, along with a project with OVC Pet Trust.
Mary also believes in the important role pets play in our lives and society, and was a strong promoter of the Purina Animal Hall of Fame and the Purina Walk for Dog Guides. Along with her husband Bruno, they share a life-long love of Labrador Retrievers and currently share their life with Isla and Rylie.
Mary is delighted to serve on the board of the OMHS in order to give back to the animals who enrich our lives in so many ways.
