Sponsoring is one of the most meaningful ways to help an animal in need, especially if you cannot adopt or foster. It also makes a purrrfect gift for an animal lover! Sponsorship allows you to change the life of your animal by helping to pay for the medical treatment, shelter and care your animal will require.
You can change an animal’s life for as little as 33c a day.
|Small Animal: $10 per month||Cat: $15 per month||Dog: $20 per month||Special Needs: $25 per month
Frequently Asked Questions
What does my sponsorship help pay for? Sponsorship helps pay for medical treatment such as a full check-up by a veterinarian, vaccines, microchip, grooming, spay/neuter, de-worming , as well as shelter and care for your animal.
Why does the Oakville & Milton Humane Society need my help? Every tiny animal, kitten, puppy, cat and dog deserves a “happily ever after” but we need help. The shelter does not receive funding from the government to help care for or find loving homes for the animals. For this, we rely on the generosity of the public.
What will the sponsor receive? You will receive photos of your special friend and quarterly updates so you can take part in your animal’s life and learn about its behaviour, health, daily routine and the best news of all – when your animal finds a family and home! You will then receive details of the new animal you will be sponsoring.
Can I sponsor an animal as a gift for someone else? Yes! Sponsoring an animal is the purrrfect gift for an animal lover! When you select the type of animal to sponsor, add an eCard with the recipient’s name and email. The recipient will then receive an ecard telling them about your gift.
Include the recipient’s name and email in the comments box and within a week, we will email them photos and a description of the animal they are sponsoring. We will continue to send them quarterly updates about their sponsored animal.
When will I receive information about my sponsored animal? It usually takes about a week before you receive an email with photos and a description of the animal you are sponsoring.
Can I view my sponsored animal? Of course! All our animals love to have visitors and see who is helping to keep them safe. At times though, your animal might not be available for viewing if it is having medical tests or treatment.
Will I be the only sponsor for my chosen animal? OMHS runs a co-sponsorship program and therefore more than one person may sponsor an animal. Your money will go towards helping all the animals in our care, including the one you are sponsoring.
