Milton Animal Control changes

Attention Town of Milton Residents – Animal Control Enforcement changes February 1, 2014

Please be advised that as of Saturday, February 1, 2014, enforcement of Milton Animal Control bylaws are the responsibility of The Town of Milton.

Animal Control bylaw enforcement includes reporting lost and found pets, dogs running at large, cats roaming outside, dogs or cats hit by car, livestock loose on roads or dead wildlife.

If you have concerns regarding animal control bylaws please call The Town of Milton at 905-878-7252 ext. 2254, 24 hours 7 days a week.

The Oakville & Milton Humane Society will still and always will be the Humane Society for the Town of Milton, caring for homeless animals and finding them forever homes. You will still see our vehicles in your area.

We will continue to have animals available for adoption at our Milton satellite location in Ruffins Pet Nutrition and PJ’s Pet Express in Milton.

We will continue to take in injured wildlife and place them with registered rehabilitation centres.

Our OSPCA agents will continue to investigate and where necessary, prosecute any animal abuse, cruelty and neglect to the full extent of the law.

We will continue to act as a resource for Milton whenever possible taking in pets that need to be rehomed.

Our Community Outreach and Education programs will continue to visit schools and long term care facilities in Milton.
