Limited Edition Dogs of Oakville book “Champions” launches November 21 at Pets Plus Us The Oakville & Milton Humane Society (OMHS) is thrilled to announce that local artist and pet photographer Maria Bell is launching her 5th book in the Dogs of Oakville series entitled: Champions. This limited-edition coffee table book will be launched November 21 at a special event and book signing at Pets Plus Us located at 1115 N Service Rd W, Unit 2, Oakville, between 5-8 pm. There are a limited number of books available. The book sells for $50 and all proceeds from sales go to the OMHS. Since 2011, Maria Bell has been capturing the dogs and cats of Oakville and their unique personalities through her beautiful series of books. In this edition of “The Dogs of Oakville, Champions” Maria Bell, Patricia Toth and Russell Gonsalves, who will be at the book signing, photographed Oakville dogs while their families provided videos of their dogs that capture how they are truly champions of our hearts. Together, the book’s photographs and links to videos highlight the unique personalities of more than 200 of Oakville’s canine residents. “The creation of my latest book was the result of a tremendous community effort involving the dog’s families who volunteered their time and shared their dog’s stories with us. My thanks to everyone who participated in this project, you are all champions in my book,” says Maria Bell. The first, second, third and fourth editions of The Dogs of Oakville as well as The Cats of Oakville Special completely sold out and raised more than $100,000 in support of OMHS.
