A dog with a thank you tag

During the first two weeks of June, the shelter was abuzz with Mission Pawsible activities! Between the nail trim tutorials, the ‘Day in the Life of an APS Officer’ session, the Dog Behavior Therapy session, the virtual tours, and all of the various fundraising activities that were taking place, our virtual community was in full swing in support of vulnerable animals in Oakville and Milton.

This ‘Mission’ got underway with a matching gift donation from the wonderful folks at IDEXX Laboratories. Shortly thereafter, our friends at Skedaddle Humane Wildlife Control pitched in with their matching gift donation and to close out the campaign, our loyal friends at Royal Canin contributed to the mission with their own matching gift donation. Add to this, the fantastic support from businesses like A1 Air Conditioning & Heating and Bark & Fitz, as well as the large number of community fundraisers, we can say “Mission Accomplished”.

A big “Paws Up” to P3 Veterinary Partners for joining in this mission as our Lead Sponsor. We are very pleased to have the support of Bruce Campbell and the entire team at P3 who always have the animals at heart.

Thank you to all of you who participated in one way or another in this mission in support of Brady and animals like him. The goal for this campaign was $50,000 and we are thrilled to report that, because of you, we surpassed that goal and raised a whopping $55,000!

We are so grateful for your support of the more than 3,000 animals each year who find themselves in need of the top-notch care that is provided by OMHS.
