We are excited to announce that on the 25th Anniversary of the Patch Challenge, $25,000 was raised to support Patch Program and the animals at the shelter. That brings the total amount raised over the past 25 years to more than $358,000!

A huge thank you to retired Lexus of Oakville owner Frank Apa and the team at Lexus of Oakville for their incredible support, commitment and contributions over the last 25 years. It enables OMHS to continue providing educational opportunities in the community for young people and raises awareness to create a kind and humane community for animals and people.

We would also like to congratulate our incredible 2025 Patch Award winners and friends of the animals Ananya and Atreya, who have gone above and beyond to raise funds for OMHS and teach their community about animals.

Ananya and Atreya have always felt a deep connection to animals and nature, leading them to join the Kindness Club Program at OMHS where their bond with the shelter animals inspired them to celebrate their dog Arya’s fifth birthday by creating posters and turning their lively pizza party and dog movie night into a successful fundraiser! They raised $150 and the success of that first event motivated them to do even more.
