Located at 511 Pinegrove Road in Oakville, the Oakville & Milton Humane Society (OMHS) Barkin’ Bin Thrift Store is loaded with great deals for every bargain hound! If you’re moving, spring cleaning or downsizing, please consider donating new and gently used items to the Thrift Store.

You can also view gently used items to purchase through Facebook Marketplace here.

The OMHS relies entirely on donations to feed, shelter, and provide medical care for the animals. All proceeds from the OMHS Barkin’ Bin Thrift Store go directly to help the animals.

Items We Accept

  • Clean, stain free and good condition clothing, accessories and shoes
  • Clean household items
  • Small furniture items (small shelves, side tables, stools)
  • Clean and working small handheld appliances and electronics
  • Clean china/glassware sets or special items
  • Good condition books (not encyclopedias, magazines, textbooks)
  • One-of-a-kind items, collectibles, antiques
  • Jewellery
  • Good condition home decor and seasonal items
  • Clean games and toys 
  • Good condition pet products

Items We Cannot Accept

  • Large furniture items
  • Encyclopedias, magazines, textbooks
  • Plastic kitchenware
  • Used bedding
  • Medium or large appliances (microwaves, fridges, etc.)
  • VHS tapes, audio cassettes, DVDs and CDs
  • TVs, computer monitors, printers and accessories
  • Used helmets, car seats or any other items declared not resalable used items by Health Canada
  • Items that are damaged, dirty, broken or with missing parts

We respectfully request donated items be saleable and in good condition. Broken or soiled items actually take funds away from the animals due to costs of disposing of unusable donations.
