Say hello to Marlin!

Marlin is a shy and sensitive soul who's looking for a quiet, understanding home where he can truly be himself. This handsome boy prefers to take things slow and isn't one for being picked up or fussed over. Instead, he finds comfort in having cozy hiding spots and time to himself. But don't let his independent nature fool you, Marlin does enjoy affection on his own terms.

Marlin is a classic shadow cat, he takes comfort in observing from a distance and following the lead of a confident feline friend. He'll need to go to a home with another cat, as having a social, gentle companion helps him feel safe and encourages him to come out of his shell.

When he's feeling safe and ready, Marlin will approach you with gentle headbutts and will weave around your legs to let you know he's in the mood for some love. His favourite pets are on the head and shoulders, and when he trusts you, you'll be treated to his sweet, subtle displays of affection.

Marlin is currently eating a vet prescribed diet called Purina OM to help him lose some weight and any changes to his diet should only be made in consultation with a vet.

Marlin would thrive in a calm, patient home with someone who understands that love can take time, and that the quiet bond you'll share with him is well worth the wait. If you have a cat in the home and you're someone who appreciates the gentle companionship of a cat who chooses connection rather than demands it, Marlin might be your perfect match. Apply for him today!
