HOW DID OZZY GET HERE?
Ozzy was surrendered when his previous owners could no longer care for him. He is now looking for a forever home!

PERSONALITY:
- Loves to play fetch and is great at it!
- Active but moderate energy level - happy with a few good walks and playtime in the yard each day
- Knows basic cues such as sit, down, and responds to his name for recall
- Sound-sensitive - can be nervous during thunderstorms or when hearing stern voices
- Touch-sensitive with unfamiliar people; needs time to build trust
- Prefers to come to you
- Once he trusts, can be cuddly and affectionate!
- Experienced with grooming and tolerates brushing well when it's done slowly and by someone he's comfortable with
- Resource guards food and space, so management in the home will be important
- Not reactive - selective with other dogs, but will choose to ignore or walk away rather than engage
- Okay in the car
- House-trained and ready to settle into his new home!

WHAT TYPE OF HOME IS OZZY LOOKING FOR?
- Experienced dog owners
- An adult-only home (18+)
- Any type of dwelling where he has space to avoid those he doesn't want to interact with
- Could live with an uninterested cat, as long as he has space when eating
- Would prefer to be the only dog
- A home with access to a yard would be ideal (LOVES fetch!)
