Corporate team Volunteering
Corporate team volunteering at OMHS offers engaging teambuilding activities to support the Pet Food Bank which has become a crucial resource providing over 400,000 pet meals since its inception in 2021. Your team will work together to prepare pet food for distribution to vulnerable pets and families facing food insecurity in our community. The day will culminate in a tour of OMHS facilities, and your employees will leave knowing they helped keep pets at home with the families who love them.
Volunteering at the OMHS is a rewarding way to meet your company’s employee engagement goals, execute your Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives and provide a unique teambuilding experience with profound impact for vulnerable pets.
OMHS is reliant on support from our community to carry out our mission of protecting and caring for vulnerable animals. We kindly request that your organization consider a minimum donation of $1000 per day to help us cover the direct costs associated with organizing a team experience. A tax receipt can be provided.
To learn more, please complete the form below and we will be back to you within three business days to discuss your teambuilding goals. Our opportunities fill quickly, so please indicate 2-3 possible dates for your group to visit.

What will our team do?
We offer a 3-hour experience that benefits our Pet Food Bank. The group will meet at the OMHS facility and follow an agenda similar to the following:
- Overview of OMHS and Pet Food Bank
- Packaging food for the Pet Food Bank
- May include making pet enrichment toys or other Pet Food Bank duties
- Tour of OMHS facility
- Photo op to show the great work you have completed
We also offer an offsite option for your group to pick up supplies and package food at your own site
When is corporate team volunteering available?
Onsite corporate volunteering experiences take place on Tuesdays or Wednesdays between 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm. Supply pick up for offsite experiences can be flexible based on availability.
How many team members can participate?
From May through September, we can accommodate up to 12 team members outdoors under cover with an indoor rain contingency. If you have a large group or multiple groups, we can develop a program over several days and the groups can compete for a prize for the greatest impact!
An indoor option is available with the exception of July and August. Due to space constraints, we are limited to 8 team members for an indoor experience.
Will we get to interact with the animals?
Your group will have the opportunity to view and learn about our adoptable animals during the facility tour. If your group is volunteering outdoors, you will also see our dog handlers as they work on training. Because our dogs are in training, we kindly ask that volunteers observe them from a distance with their handlers. Interaction will be dependent on the animals in our care at the time.
Is there a cost to participate?
OMHS relies entirely on donations to provide our services, and your organization’s donation will help us care for homeless animals and continue delivering the vital Pet Food Bank program.
We suggest that your organization consider a donation to help us cover the direct costs associated with organizing a team experience, typically a minimum of $1000.
