The Woman Who Loves Giraffes
the Oakville & Milton Humane Society
This Valentine’s Day, we invite you to share in our love of animals with ground-breaking Canadian Scientist and giraffeologist Anne Innis Dagg. Join us, from the comfort of your home, for a special streaming of Anne’s story – The Woman Who Loves Giraffes – as she retraces her steps of her 1956 journey to South Africa to study giraffes in the wild.
The streaming of the film will be followed by a unique opportunity to (virtually) meet Order of Canada appointed Anne Innis Dagg in a live Q&A on Sunday, February 14.
Our Early Bird rate of $25 has been extended!
Get your tickets by January 24 to take advantage of this rate.
In The Woman Who Loves Giraffes, Anne discovers a startling contrast between the world of giraffes she once knew and the one it has become. Weaving through the past and present, her harrowing journey gives us an intimate look into the factors that destroyed her career and the forces that brought her back.
Get your tickets before the price increase on January 25! When you purchase a ticket, you are sharing your love by helping us support the most vulnerable animals in our community. The OMHS relies on the generosity of our community to care for more than 3,000 domestic animals and wildlife that come through the shelter each year.
To complete your experience, our friends in the community are offering you great discounts on food and beverages when you purchase a ticket!
