Youth Apprenticeship Program

Our Youth Apprenticeship Program (Y.A.P.) is no longer being offered at OMHS. The resources dedicated to YAP are being thoughtfully redirected towards providing the animals with specialized attention they need from our skilled animal care staff.

We encourage you to consider applying for OMHS’ Leader in Training (LIT) Program, a popular program that offers youth the opportunity to gain valuable leadership skills by helping out with our annual summer camps. Teens will work directly with our summer camp kids, helping them to learn about our animal friends in a safe and inviting environment.

LIT is also a cost-effective way to earn additional community service hours and develop leadership skills that will serve you throughout your life.
